About the Trainer
Jaime Niedermeier
Jaime started training dogs full-time in January 2008 with the East Bay SPCA, where she worked for two years. In addition to teaching classes (Basic Obedience 1, Small Dog Basic Obedience 1, Puppy Preschool, and Canine Companions, a dog handling skills class for shelter volunteers), she also worked in the shelter’s Behavior and Training Department helping make shelter dogs more adoptable.
Jaime's training style centers on positive reinforcement and clear communication between humans and dogs. She believes that dog training should be fun, and her goal is to give owners tools they can use to make their (and their dogs') lives easier and better right away.

Jaime has been a Full Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) since June 2009. She regularly attends seminars and conferences to increase her knowledge of dog training and behavior, and is a graduate of the Canine Behavior Academy I and II at Marin Humane Society.
Jaime shares her home with Daisy, a 3-year-old Pharaoh Hound mix; Willa "Shy-Shy," a 6-year-old Shepherd mix; Chew Boo, an 11-year-old Golden Retriever; and Emily, her very understanding wife.
